Wi-Fi Router Not Working – How to Fix?

Wi-Fi router not working is a very common issue. When it happens, its users usually can’t connect their devices to their wireless network properly, or there is no network connection.

If you’re also having issues with your Wi-Fi router, the following are the fixes you can try. These are what we found that are helpful for a lot of people, and they should be also able to help you.

Restart your router/modem

Step 1: Turn off your device.

Step 2: Turn off your router and modem and disconnect them from the power source.

Step 3: Leave them for several minutes.

Step 4: Reconnect all these devices to power, and turn them back on.

Step 5: Check to see if your router is working properly now.

Reset your router

Note: You may lose your personal settings on your router once you reset it.

Step 1: Press and hold the reset button or pinhole on your router for about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Release the button or pinhole and then wait for your router to restart.

Step 3: Use your computer to set up a network configuration on your router.

Check for overheating issues.

Your router couldn’t work properly if it overheats. You should try placing it in a cooler environment, or using a cooler to lower its temperature.

Placing your router in an air-conditioned room could be a good idea.
